Walking through a working tea estate is a sensory experience unlike any other: the scent of fresh leaves in cool mountain air, the rhythm of pluckers' hands, and the panoramic views across rolling green hills. Guided plantation walks include the entire process — from seeing the tea bush to visiting the factory where leaves are withered, rolled, fermented and dried — and end with a tasting of 5–6 varieties. Munnar alone has 30,000 hectares of tea under cultivation.
